GCMMF's Ahmedabad depot participated in Lok Mela in Rajkot from 25th to 28th August, 2005. This mela is one of the biggest melas of Saurashtra region of Gujarat. It is basically the celebration of birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. People from different parts of Rajkot and its outskirts assembled in the Race Course Ground, Rajkot from 4.00 pm onwards to celebrate the occasion. There were around 3 lakh people on an average gathered every day. During the mela, people prefer to consume Ice Cream than other food products. GCMMF had set up around 11 stalls (similar to the above photo) and got a business of around Rs. 35.00 lakhs. It was a great opportunity for GCMMF to sell and sample its products.
