Release of Dr. Kurien's memoirs "I Too Had a Dream" The former Prime Minister, Shri I. K. Gujral, released the memoirs of the Father of the White Revolution, Dr. Verghese Kurien, titled "I Too Had a Dream" (as told to Gouri Salvi) at a glittering function, held at the India International Centre. Later Dr. Kurien presented a copy of the book to the Hon'ble President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at Rashtrapati Bhawan. The President feels that the Cooperative model of Amul is one of the leading examples for the successful cooperative model in the 20th century in the country. The efforts of Dr. V. Kurien have led India to become a leading producer of milk. Also seen in the picture are Mrs. Molly Kurien, daughter Nirmala (behind the President) and Ms. Gouri Salvi. On the right of Dr. Kurien is Shri B. M. Vyas, Managing Director, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation.
