A trade delegation from Sudan visited Vadodara, Anand and Gandhinagar between October 17, and 20, 2007. The delegation was interested in studying the dairy sector in India, Especially co-operative dairying. They visited Baroda Dairy, Amul Dairy, Cattlefeed Plant, IDMC, Amul Research & Development Association, a Village Dairy Co-operative Society, GCMMF and Mother Dairy, Gandhinagar.

They also interacted with Dr. V. Kurien, Father of the White Revolution and held discussions with Shri B. M. Vyas, MD, GCMMF.

After seeing the working at the grassroots, they were deeply influenced and felt that there was scope for such a system working in their country.
