The Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation Shri Gautom Bora, Government of Assam, along with a delegation which included Shri M Angamattu, IAS, D.C. Karbi and Shri J Choudhury, Addl. Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Assam visited Anand on June 13, 2007. They held wide ranging discussions with Shri B. M. Vyas, Managing Director, GCMMF regarding the dairy scenario in Assam and measures to increase milk procurement and marketing in the area.

They also visited Amul Dairy and museum and were very impressed by the achievements of farmers of Gujarat. After the visit, they commented ”It has been a wonderful experience to share first hand experience to see the success story of Amul. I hope and desire this Amul success is replicated in every part of the country.”
