Lt. Gen. A. S. Bahia, AVSM, PVSM, Quartermaster General, Ministry of Defence, Army Headquarters, New Delhi accompanied by Lt. Col. Neel Kamal visited Anand on July 12, 2005. They held wide ranging discussions with Dr. V. Kurien, Chairman, Shri B. M. Vyas, Managing Director and Shri R. S. Sodhi, Chief General Manger, GCMMF.

They also visited Amul Dairy and Museum, the Chocolate and Cheese Plants, GCMMF and IRMA. Lt. Col. Bahia, after his visit to Amul observed "Great privilege to be visiting this establishment of International fame. Very impressive indeed."
